Below are just a few of the many unsolicited notes and letters of satisfaction and appreciation we receive from our customers.
At Bushtec, Customer Satisfaction is our ultimate goal. When you take ownership of a Bushtec Trailer, the greatest reward we receive is the smile on your face and the pride you display, but our support doesn't end with the sale. Just ask anyone that pulls a Bushtec Trailer ..... the day you take possession of your Bushtec is just the beginning.
Can we build one for you?
John Preston Dear Bushtec, This past summer we got to see first hand what a real team is like. We were on a secondary road in Kentucky when a young man driving his dad's Mustang started to pass a string of vehicles on a narrow two-lane curvy road, and avoided a head-on collision by cutting in behind us and hitting our trailer. We were 51 miles (as the crow flies) from the Bushtec factory and were able to have the trailer transported to your facilities. Although we arrived late (after 7 pm) you were waiting to get our trailer in and ready to be worked on the first thing the next morning. The next day we found that not only were the repairs being made, but everything about the trailer front-to-back, top-to-bottom, was being double checked. And may I add, we purchased the trailer second-hand from a friend that no longer rides, not a direct purchase from Bushtec. Everyone we met at the factory was an example of people that believe in their product, take pride in their work and what they produce, and were very friendly and courteous, and made sure we were made to feel right at home. And, they had us back on the road very quickly. (You can see Sam's great looking rig in the Gallery) Sam and Angie Wren Dear Bushtec, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Andy for the outstanding service that I received during bike week. I stopped by the Bushtec trailer late in the afternoon of March 6th. It was starting to rain and Andy was busy putting the display up before the storm blew in. Andy stopped what he was doing, answered my questions, and then he went out of his way to take care of me. All this after I first called him by his brother's name (sorry about that). Because of Andy, and from meeting John 4 years ago, I will only buy Bushtec products. Michael Beck
Hi John, I picked up my Dark Blue Quantum GL in April and now in May it has already made its first 12,000 mile trip from North Carolina to Alaska. The trailer went through the Beartooth Pass, The Icefields Parkway, The Alcan Hwy, The Dalton Hwy, The Cassier Hwy, some other not so good roads and was almost completely covered in mud, gravel and other stuff several times, the finish came home with almost no damage. I have been towing trailers since the early 80s and have other trailers now, but Bushtec is by far the best I have used. The trailer appears to be solid as a rock. We don't know why people travel without one. Harlan Hoover
John, I just returned from a 4000 mile Colorado trip pulling one of your trailers with my GL 1800. I have had the trailer for ten years, as it came with a 1993 GL1500 I bought in 1997 but since I don't travel two up very often, it doesn't get a lot of use. I had honestly forgotten how well a Bushtec trailer pulls. And, it's not just for long trips. My son and I really enjoye father and son picnics because of the extra space and cooler. Thanks for such a good product. I sure am glad I kept the trailer when I sold the 1500. Rick Scott
Dear John, I just wanted to send you a message and tell you what a GREAT TRAILER I have purchased, A BUSHTEC !!!! As you may recall we first met and talked in Nashville at Wing Ding. I was impressed with your product and your knowledge. Could not decide to buy yet. We met again at Wings over Smokies. Talked and priced again. Still impressed but still too tight to buy. We met again at Bike Week in Daytona in Oct. Each time you remembered who I was and took all the time to answer my questions and point out the features of the Bushtec. We sat down and ordered the trailer exactly as I wanted it built. I must compliment you on the relaxed manner in which we did the purchase. Never once in the three attempts to make up my mind did I ever feel any pressure to buy nor feel I was a bother. It was your pleasant personality and patience that guided me to the best decision I could make on the purchase of a trailer, a BUSHTEC!!!!!! We came to the factory in November to pick up the trailer. Neat, clean, facility and cordial personnel. I have to admit I was a little proud of my purchase, but swelled up a bit more when Tim said, "This is one of the fanciest ones we have built." This week I brought 'Lil Bushtec home from our RV storage building and gave it a super wax job! Again, I saw what quality and perfection is in this trailer. The paint matches as if the trailer came down the line with the trike! Sorry this note became a little long but when someone takes the time you spent with me and provides me with the top of the line trailer, I just have to take the time and say so!! Thanks so much for everything. If anyone questions the Bushtec, have them call me!! Sonny Slifer John, My wife and I picked up our new Turbo II in April of 2003. We were immediately impressed by your staff and the quality of your workmanship. We have since had our Bushtec, pulled with our FLHTCU, on several trips. We have traveled through the Appalachians from north to south. We have traveled through both the U.S. Rockies and Canadian Rockies. We have also traveled through the desert southwest. It pulls wonderfully and we never know it is back there. Recently, while on a “GUY TRIP” with four other buddies, I found out why the Bushtec Team touts the safety aspect of the design of your trailer. All five of us avoided running over some landscaping blocks which had been lost on the highway. My Turbo II however was not so lucky. I looked back to see if everyone was okay, and they were but they were pointing to the trailer and motioning me to pull over. When I did, I noticed not only a flat tire but a section of the wheel was missing. Had they not stopped me I would have continued because there was no indication of any problem. The trailer did not swerve, bounce or affect the bike in anyway. I thank you for making a product with the safety of the user in mind. Kent Miller

John, I wanted to share a few comments about our Bushtec trailer with you, as I am often asked how does the bike handle with a trailer attached? My observations below may be useful in explaining this issue to other curious clients. When we were at the last Spring Fling (2 years ago) we picked up our first Bushtec trailer and hesitated to run thru Deal’s Gap for fear of having handling issues with a trailer attached. This year we planned to run the Dragon as we came down with no trailer, but of course that all changed when we fell in love with your loaded silver Quantum GL. Since we had planned on running the Dragon, we went ahead but with some trepidation. Well, let me tell you, not only did the trailer have NO DESCIRNABLE EFFECT on handling, it actually IMPROVED it! You see we had about 40 pounds of luggage in the top saddle bag and strapped on top of the luggage rack. Moving that top weight into the trailer, coupled with the superb handling of Bushtec trailers actually made the bike handle easier. What amazes me still is the total lack of play or runout in the coupling. No kidding, I looked in my rearview mirrors at least a dozen times over the 5 days we took going home to make sure the trailer had not fallen off! The light weight of the trailer, the tight coupling, and the power of my new Goldwing 1800 literally made the trailer invisible. I could detect no difference in acceleration or stopping, and the on the road tracking and freedom from bounce makes your trailers “best of breed” and better than the best… In short, they are AWESOME! Thanks for such a great product, and a special thanks for your humanitarian efforts and involvement with the special charity efforts that Bushtec contributes to. As a (retired) CEO I was very sensitive to giving back to my community, and thus especially applaud your efforts in this area. You are a special person that I am proud to know!

John, I just want to let you know how happy I am with my Bushtec Trailer. As I told you when I purchased it, I have sold my home in Australia to fund my world Trip. In the past 6 weeks I have covered over 12,000 miles including a trip around Mexico which would have to have the worst roads I have ever been on in my 28 years of riding. The air suspension is Brilliant. it took everything that was thrown at it in stride and at no time did it bounce, stray, or affect the bike in any way. This is the third trailer I have owned over the years and it is by far the BEST. I will be riding through Alaska and onto Europe later next year and I have complete confidence in the performance and durability of this unit. Many Thanks Phil Sanders John,
First off it was an honor to finally meet you, Andrew & the crew of Bushtec at the 2006 Sturgis rally. The Quantum GL surpassed all of our expectations. Your hospitality & sheer concern was stunning! The wife & I pulled in at 9:00am Aug. 6th & was on our way by 12:00 (after a brief cloud burst). But now this is where the story really starts............

John, I just wanted to take a moment to say "great job" on the Turbo +2 y'all built for me. Since picking it up in May, we made a 3,000 mile trip to Niagara Falls and back via the Outer Banks of North Carolina and a long weekend trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway and around the Southeast covering 1,200 miles. It handles like a dream on all types of road conditions. As I told you when I called to place my order, when I started looking at trailers (new and used) on the Internet, all of the used trailer ads I saw seemed to start out, "I just upgraded to a Bushtec and I want to sell my old trailer..." A friend of mine already owned a Roadstar, so I was familiar with Bushtec's quality. (You can see some pictures of Tom's maiden voyage and the Blue Ridge trip in the Bushtec Gallery") Tommy Beasley Dear Sir:
I have never felt strongly enough about a product to write a manufacturer until now. I researched many trailers prior to purchasing a Bushtec, not because of cost, but because my wife's safety was foremost in my mind. With the faith I had in your product I was never the least bit concerned about the performance. (I did, of course, follow all the maintenance specified by your company). As others have mentioned, people were very impressed with its design and capacity. I highly recommended your products to other riders we met along the way and I will continue to pass the word along. Thank you for developing and providing such a tremendous product. Steve Kerr
Dear Bushtec,
I picked up our new Turbo II in April, 2005 and we have been all over this country with it. It must have 8000 miles on it this summer including a 5000+ mile trip out west. We pulled that trailer in every conceivable kind of weather condition, on most every kind of road, over the continental divide a few times and have to say, "we won't ever leave home without it." My wife just loves the room and although she was very concerned about the initial expense and the safety of pulling a trailer, she won't go anywhere without it now. Thank You for your friendly personal service and the plant tour. We will be contacting you soon for some accesories before we hit the road again this summer. Here's a couple pictures we took enjoying our vacation. Craig & Deb Chmielewski A big THANK YOU for the plant tour and wheel replacement on my '98 Turbo+2 recently. Not many manufactures would follow up on a 5 year old product. I toured the plant in '98 when I picked up my trailer. Your new addition is awesome and your hospitality is beyond compare. Robert Hawkinson I just picked up my Quantum GL after a factory rebuild (caused by an accident). On my way down from MI to TN, I participated in a trailer relay with a 2002 trailer from another company. What a reminder of the difference between a quality engineered motorcycle trailer and a box set on some wheels. I hear folks say they can't tell the "other trailer" is back there while towing. Well, that's somewhat true when at road speed. But, I could tell when I cornered (even with Interstate gradual curves) that I was unable to lean beyond a certain point or I would get an uncomfortable reaction in the rear end. Then at slow speed, every bump in the road caused the steering to pull. What a joy to tow a real motorcycle trailer on the way home. I took the 2-laners and they had me scraping pegs. I could NOT have done that with the other brand. My rebuilt Quantum GL looked like a brand new trailer when I picked it up. Thanks John, Andrew, David, Sally & crew!!! I like my trailer as much as my bike (GL1800). Gary Hirsch I really appreciated your flexibility with getting my bike wiring harness installed at Wing Ding. Your staff did a great job, fast and correct. The quality of your product is outstanding, and so is the way you deal with customers. Thats why you have the reputation you and your company have. Thanks again and I hope to visit your factory some day to see your behind the scenes activities. Chuck Caldwell We picked our Turbo 2 trailer up on Monday, April 21, 2003, and loved everything about it. We had no trouble coming home, except that the weather was rather chilly. This was our first time pulling a trailer with a motorcycle. I kept asking Tom how it handled, and he said he could hardly tell it was there. Our Harley Electra Glide handled it with ease. We loved the tour of the factory and were very well pleased with the way you folks presented yourself to us. When we saw the paint job it blew our minds, it matched the motorcycle perfectly and that is what really surprised us. We just couldn't get over what a wonderful paint job you did on the trailer. Don't laugh, but every time we walk into our garage we take a look at our trailer and just can't get over how nice it looks. We are looking forward to traveling with it this summer. Your company is excellent and we are so pleased that we came to you when we decided to buy a trailer. Every time we had a question you were helpful in answering them. Again thank you for the courtesy that you showed us, and for being the kind of company that most folks love to deal with. We will be telling others as we travel what a wonderful company you our. God's blessing to you and all employees. Tom and Sue Jackson I just rec'd my new trailer that the team at Bushtec built for me. You don't get much better than this. I really don't have time to tell you the details because I am out in the shop looking at this wonderful piece of ART. I am about as happy as any man on the planet. If it were just a little smaller I would haul it in the family room and look at it some more. The whole transaction was EXCELLENT. The Performance Sport Trailers of Greater Kansas City team treated me like I was the most important customer. Here is their address and phone number (hope it is okay to post) 614 S. Kansas Ave. Olathe, KS 66061 913-829-6466 ~ 877-794-0700 box #6943 Contact: Dennis Scarff or Wanda When I got the trailer home, I was amazed at how well it was packaged. Looking around the trailer all you see is QUALITY. Fit and finish was outstanding. I think it was built better than most cars I have owned. The paint matched my wing as perfect as you could imagine. If you are looking at other trailers to pull behind your 2-wheeled ride, don’t waste your time like I did. Just type in www.bushtec.com and arrange a meeting with the dealer by you (or close). This trailer is every thing that I was told it would be and more. You will not be disappointed. Stan in Graham WA My wife and I bought a Turbo+2 that matched my 2002 HD Electra Glide Classic at Sturgis. When I got back to camp, about 15 people I was camped with were all over that trailer. They were VERY impressed with it and I even did the "bounce test". They had the same reaction I did, "NO WAY! DO THAT AGAIN!", and I did so with a mile wide smile. Tuesday morning we headed back to Denver, and it was the first time I had ever pulled a trailer with a bike. This is where the "WOW" comes in. I was (and still am) very impressed with how well it pulled/tracked. Never a wobble or bounce, and the cooler also came in very handy. Yesterday, I went to North Platte, Nebraska, to burn some miles and check gas mileage pulling the trailer (9 hours (550 miles). I would like to say "Thank you" to the crew in Sturgis for the great service, to you for making it happen, and the folks at the plant for making such a quality product. Michael Appleton John; I just wanted to compliment you on the new GL1800 hitch. I installed my first one last weekend for a friend, and it was a breeze to install. I have installed 3 other 1500 hitches and was a bit apprehensive about the new one. I had no problems and installation was complete, start to finish in less than 3 hours. Everthing fit beautifully and made a good, strong hitch .................. Congratulations on a great engineering job once again, and thanks for e-mailing the instructions to me ahead of time.
Dan McDonald John, I received my Roadstar trailer late last fall. In fact I didn't have a chance to try it until this spring, living in northern Maine. We had snow on the ground the day it was delivered. The first trip out with it we headed to Chicago to meet up with other H.O.G. members to do the Made in America Tour. This year was from Chicago to Santa Monica, CA. The trailer worked just great. I have had two brand X trailers. None will compare to the Bushtec. No bounce, no rattle, just solid on the road. We put 8600 miles on it this trip. Just wish I had bought a Bushtec some years ago. The order process was easy. Every option ordered come through with perfection. Keep up the good work and thanks for a great product.
Joe McLaughlin John, Andy, and the entire Bushtec crew, Just a quick note to let you know how great the Genesis rides behind the new scooter. After something like 25,000 miles behind a Gold Wing I switched to a Harley Ultra Classic. The new hitch and wiring went on very easily thanks to great instructions and we took off for a 3,000 mile vacation to Colorado. The Genesis pulls behind the Harley just like it did for so many miles behind the Wing .... in other words, I didn't know it was there! It handled the mountains and the twisties effortlessly. Kudos for a great product and also for the great support in getting the hitch and wiring to me so quickly.
Jack & Terry Sides Keller, Texas John and Andy, I want to let you know how happy Brenda and I both are with our new GENESIS trailer. It pulls effortlessly, and my wife is able to bring the extra little niceties along when we pack the Goldwing. We just returned from our trip to the Honda Hoot and I must say BOTH of you went FAR out of your way to accommodate us during our stay in Knoxville....from the factory tour Andy took us on to the considerations extended us in the vendors arena. I realize we are but a very small part of many, many satisfied customers you have, but we'll certainly do what WE can to keep that number increasing. P.S. You might need to remind new customers to tilt their rearview mirrors upward a bit so as not to scare the daylights out of themselves (like I did) by glancing in the mirror and seeing something immediately on your tail that you didn't remember was there. No JOKE!
Don and Brenda Harju Fort Collins, Colorado John... Being a previous owner of a GL 1500, I now own a GL 1800 and pull an Escapade trailer. (Sorry about the brand of trailer, but that's not why I'm here....) I had my mechanic install one of your hitches on my bike. I just got back from a 1600 mile trip, and I'm here to say that the hitch is AWESOME. Between the added power of the 1800 and your hitch, I am very serious in stating that I honestly could NOT tell my trailer was behind me. I could sometimes hear my trailer go over a bump going through towns, etc. but could NOT physically sense that it was there. So, KUDOS to you on your hitch. I love it.
Kevin Klimek John - I just want to pass along how much I enjoy my new Roastar....... Though I've ridden for over 20 years now, this is my first experience pulling a trailer. ....... I'm happy to be able to add my name to your list of satisfied customers. The trailer performs exactly as all the glowing reports promised and I am amazed at how easy it is to pull..... Not only is the trailer great, my experience with the company has been very positive too. I received the hitch immediately after placing the order and found the installation and wiring very straightforward. I also enjoyed seeing the factory, meeting some of your staff, and the personal attention they provided.
Dirck Vorenkamp Just wanted to send along my comments concerning your fine trailers. I just received mine today (Turbo + 2). The workmanship is just superior, the paint match is dead on (both colors). I can hardly wait to get it ready for it's first road trip. I've been waiting to purchase this trailer for over 3 years and it's been well worth the wait. I have reviewed virtually every trailer brochure out there from campers to cargo/sport, talked with many owners of Bushtec's and the quality of your product is truly unmatched. Keep up the good work and thanks again to you and your team!!
Thomas Bryant I picked my new Roadstar trailer last week in Burnaby, British Columbia. It is truly one of a kind. The quality of product, patience, cooperation and the generosity of the Bushtec staff has been overwhelming. The assistance of Yellow Freight and the Canadian Customs was also exceptional. The paperwork which accompanied the trailer was also done to perfection. It has been a pleasure doing business with you. A sincere thank you to all concerned.
Ron Litzenberger, Canada eh! I just had to write and tell you how pleased and satisfied I am with your new hitch for my 1800. I finally installed it on Saturday and everything went just the way you said it would in the instructions. The quality and fit are outstanding. It is solid as the rock of Gibralter. My hat is off to you and everyone who had anything to do with the design of that hitch.
Harold Cline "Installed my hitch today, the reason for this note is to tell you that the fit was perfect! It's nice to install something that fits right out of the box, with "no" alterations. It's not often that I install an accessory that I don't have the modify or adjust in some way to make fit properly. Once again "Thanks" for the well built hitch".
Tom (Fox) Fuchs "Most Satisfying Purchase Ever. There is no "blue sky promise" in a Bushtec purchase; it's all real. Everything is thoughtfully engineered and successfully executed. Every detail is Rolls Royce quality from the grease protector covers to the awesome suspension system. I spent nine months studying the best options for a trailer and after seeing how your suspension system worked I could see no other choice than Bushtec. People stop me everywhere I've been to ask about it. I have 5,000 miles on it (from Key West, FL to Toronto, Canada) since I picked it up at your factory last year and can truthfully say it is the most satisfying purchase I've ever made."
Ken Hall "As our 1800's were the first that you installed the new hitch on, Don and I wanted to give you a report on the ride home from Jacksboro (230 miles) on our new GL 1800's pulling our new Quantum trailers. The trailers were almost empty for this trip, however they followed straight and true at speeds up to 80 mph, they followed straight and true at these speeds close behind 18 wheelers traveling at the same speed, they followed straight and true on the rain grooves around Asheville. We are very pleased with the performance of the 1800's and the Quantum trailers. I know that you are very proud of the new hitch and you should be. I am very impressed with the strength designed into this hitch. I was also amazed at the lightness and lack of strength of the sub-frame that you showed us. I believe that if your competitors attach a hitch to this frame they are asking for trouble. Also, the color match to the Illusion Red is perfect. I believe that we have the best combination on the road. " Clifford Spencer "John, I just got home from my trip up to your office/factory. Let me first say I am impressed. I truly did not believe to see such a big and professional operation. I also want to specifically mention Jessie and Jason. They both were quite helpful and exceedingly knowledgeable. I can say that the tour Jessie did me will help me sell BushTec as the company TO buy from. Thanks again, and on the trip home to Atlanta today I couldn't even tell the trailer was there. I kept looking in the mirror just to make sure......Thanks" Jeff Vandeford "My new Bushtec Roadstar arrived yesterday. I drove over to the truck terminal and picked it up and once I got it home, I had it uncrated and the light assembly done within the hour. I wish I had better things to say about it but the fact is, there just aren't enough adequate words to express the way I feel about the fine craftsmanship and service that I received from Bushtec. (HA...you thought I was going to say something bad didn't you). This trailer is absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased with it. My only complaint is that Bushtec packs these things so well that I thought I would NEVER get it all opened up so that I could see it. :) The two tone color matching to my '99 Venture is as good as the finest body shop in the country could have done and the trim work of the full interior carpeting is superb. Thank you Bushtec, you now have yet another happy customer." Don Nelson "I bought a Turbo +2 one day before I left for Biketofest in Daytona. Went by Bushtec vendor area and John spent 30 to 45 minutes with me explaining everything you ever wanted to know about Bushtec trailers. I wish I could get service like this with everything else I buy. Thanks John." Larry Westbrooks "Dear Mr. Preston and staff I would like to thank you all so much for putting such quality in to your work. I have had so many great responses to my bike and trailer combination . It all started when I received my Quantum at the Wing Ding in Billings last July . This 2000 blue Gold Wing and trailer to match has turned many of heads.I have had many people tell me how nice they look together. When someone tells me this I always tell them how it all came about and how helpful you where to me. In turn this makes me feel so good about my self and my bike & trailer again to all at Bushtec when I shine inside you shine out side . Thank you all vary much." Ken Beal |
